Ariella Vidach – AiEP | managed from August 2012 to March 2013

  • NAO Performing Festival 2012

In 1996 Ariella Vidach and Claudio Prati, established in Milan the dance company, Ariella Vidach – AiEP, widening the geographic and artistic horizons defined by Avventure in Elicottero Prodotti, a pre-existing cultural association founded in Lugano in 1988 with other artist. This in order to research on new technologies applied to contemporary dance and performing arts.

For more than 20 years, AiEP’s artistic path has been exploring interactivity in a growing of complexity: from video projections on stage to nearly invisible sensors worn by the dancers, passing for motion capture and computer graphic, the relation between body, choreography and interactive systems was further explored and the interferences between art and technology have become more and more refined and evocative.

Ariella Vidach – AiEP has been awarded the World Summit Award WSA 2013 during the Congress held last October 23 to 26 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, an initiative of the United Nations.
